![]() ![]() Day Two Went down to workshop and mechanic has removed the whole engine/box/wiring from the cut. Day One I bought the halfcut from STZ Automotives in Brisbane for $1400 with around 120,000kms on it and had it brought up to my hole of a town on the back of a towtruck to be put at the mechanics shed where the conversion is being done. The conversion took 8 days to complete not counting weekends. This article wont really help anyone in physically doing the conversion (how to take engine out etc.) but will give you an idea of what was needed to be done for this conversion. It all went well and I believe this conversion to be one of the most simple and best bang for your buck conversion available for most cars. The plan was to buy a EP82 GT Turbo Starlet halfcut and put the engine/gearbox into my EP91 starlet. ![]() Kiedyś mi sięnawet rzucił gdzieś w oczy w necie opis Lone'a jak swapować 4EFTE: "Putting a 4E-FTE from the EP82 Starlet into a EP91 Starlet By Lone Introduction After owning my EP91 Starlet for about 1 1/2 months I was getting very sick of the cars lack of power (and having to downshift nearly everytime to go up a slight incline in a hill) so I decided to do the conversion that I had planned to do further down the track earlier. * Alpine CD Head Unit * Alpine 6 1/2" 2-ways rear speakers * Alpine 5 1/4" spilts front speakers ![]() dash, doors, steering wheel, centre console * Full alarm system with remote central locking, keyless entry, shock sensor, lcd pager, remote engine start and turbo timer. tyres) * Narva Compac 100 LED Driving Lights with Angel Eyes * Window tint * Clear side and front indicators * Plates - 57ARZ sold with car * Car kept in immaculate condition at all times with myself being an ex-detailer Suspension / Braking * Kings Lowered Springs * Strengthed KYB Rear Shocks * Bendix Advance Brake Pads (low dust) - 2 months old * Slotted Rotors - 2 months old Interior / Stereo * Custom white interior inc. * 17" White Advanti "Rally Tech" Wheels (4 months old inc. It looks as if the wild child has finally grown up. Previous models were typical bucking-bronco front engine/front drive turbos, but the Glanza has smoothed over these rough spots, for relatively good handling. Front strut suspension combines with trailing twin beam rear suspension. The blending of power and light curb weight (2,100 lbs) gives the Glanza the best power performance in its class. In the front engine/front drive layout is the 1.3-liter DOHC 4-in-line Model 4E-FTE engine, which generates 133 BHP and 116 lb-ft of torque. ![]() The top-of-the-line Starlet is this model, the Glanza V. In contrast to previous models' standard lineup, the new Starlet is split into two differentiated lineups: the sporty Glanza and the entry-level Reflet. The current generation debuted in February 1995 with the GOA passive safety body design and other cutting-edge features. Known since its early days by such endearing nicknames as "speedy" and "grand-slam", this is a lineup that has always emphasized driving performance. This description is taken from the NTSC version of Gran Turismo 2:Īlthough the new Vitz has taken the spotlight from it, the Starlet is still the hottest compact around when it comes to sportiness. ![]()
